Single Tooth Implant in Hyderabad

Planned and placed by Dr. Spandana Sripada, MDS Periodontology and Implantology
A single tooth implant replaces only the tooth you lost. The healthy teeth on either side are left completely alone, which is the one thing a bridge cannot offer. We plan it properly, explain what we find, and hand you one written estimate before anything starts.

What Is a Single Tooth Implant?

A single tooth implant is a small titanium post placed into your jawbone, doing the job your natural root used to do. On top of it sits a crown, matched to the shade and shape of the teeth beside it.
Once it has healed, you brush it, floss it and chew with it like any other tooth. Nothing comes out at night. Nothing clips onto anything. Because the implant takes its support from your bone rather than your neighbouring teeth, those teeth stay exactly as they are.
That is the whole proposition, and for a lot of our patients it is enough.

Is a Single Tooth Implant right for you?

An implant is usually the right answer if:

Front Tooth vs Back Tooth Implant

Where the tooth sits changes how the implant is planned.
Front tooth implants are aesthetic work. The crown has to match the colour, shape and translucency of the teeth next to it, and the gum has to sit naturally around it. Depending on your case, we can discuss a temporary tooth so you are not left with a visible gap while it heals.
Back tooth implants are built for strength. Molars carry the heaviest chewing forces in your mouth, so the position, size and crown material are chosen for durability first.
Both are single tooth implants. What differs is the planning.

Single Tooth Implant vs Dental Bridge

A bridge replaces the missing tooth by trimming down the healthy teeth on either side and capping them. It works, and occasionally it is the better choice. But it asks two healthy teeth to pay for one missing one.

If the teeth beside your gap already have large fillings or need crowns anyway, a bridge can be the smarter option, and we will say so.
If those teeth are healthy, we are not going to grind them down to solve a different problem.

FAQs

Single tooth implants start from ₹45,000 at our clinic. The final figure depends on the implant system, whether bone grafting is needed, and the crown material. You receive one written estimate after examination, with no hidden additions.

The placement is done under local anaesthesia and you will not feel the procedure. Most patients tell us it was easier than the extraction that came before it. Some soreness for a few days afterwards is normal and manageable with the medication we prescribe.

The implant needs time to fuse with your bone, usually a few months, and your case may run shorter or longer depending on your bone quality and where the tooth sits. We review you through it rather than leaving you to wait.

Dental implants have among the highest success rates in dentistry when they are properly planned and properly maintained. The variables that matter most are bone quality, gum health, smoking, and how well the implant is cared for afterwards. We assess all of these before recommending one.

Yes, and it is planned differently from a back tooth. The crown is matched to the colour and shape of the teeth beside it and the gum contour is planned alongside it. Depending on your case we can discuss a temporary tooth for the healing period.

It is possible, but smoking measurably reduces implant success by affecting how the bone and gums heal. We will tell you honestly what it means for your case and what reducing or stopping around the procedure would do for your odds.

Only if there is not enough bone to hold the implant securely, which is more common when the tooth has been missing for a long time. Your X-rays tell us this at the first visit, and if a graft is needed it appears in your written estimate rather than arriving later.

With good hygiene and regular reviews, implants can last decades. The crown on top may need replacing before the implant itself does. What shortens implant life is gum disease around it, which is why we check and monitor your gum health throughout.
