Tooth Extraction in Hyderabad

Gentle tooth removal with a focus on preserving your comfort and long-term oral health.

Tooth extraction is recommended only when a tooth cannot be safely restored

Most procedures are completed under local anaesthesia, allowing you to remain comfortable throughout treatment. You’ll receive clear aftercare instructions, a follow-up appointment, and guidance on the next steps for your oral health.

Can your Tooth Be Saved?

Teeth that would have been routinely removed twenty years ago can frequently be kept today. A deep cavity, a fractured cusp, even significant infection at the root, can often be treated with root canal treatment and a crown. A natural tooth, held by its own root, is a better outcome than anything we can put in its place.
This matters more than it first appears, because extraction is not the end of treatment. It is the beginning of a different one. Once the tooth is gone, the space usually needs filling: a dental implant, a bridge, or a denture. Leaving the gap has consequences of its own. The neighbouring teeth drift into it, the opposing tooth drops down, and your bite changes over the following years.

When Tooth Extraction Is Necessary

Sometimes the tooth genuinely cannot be kept, and saying so early saves you money and discomfort. That usually means one of these:

Damage beyond restoration

The tooth is fractured below the gum line, or so little structure remains that a crown has nothing to hold on to.

Failed root canal treatment

Re-treatment has already been attempted and the infection has returned.

Advanced gum disease

The bone supporting the tooth has been lost and the tooth has become loose.

Problematic wisdom teeth

Crowding

Most often wisdom teeth, when the jaw does not have room for the tooth to come through.

We examine, take an X-ray, and look at it with you. If the tooth can be kept, we will tell you how. If it cannot, we will show you why.

Not Sure Whether Your Tooth Needs to Come Out?

The sooner a painful tooth is looked at, the more options are usually still open. Bring the X-ray or the treatment plan if you have one.

What happens during a Tooth Extraction?

If this is your child’s first dental visit, here’s what you can expect.

1

We look before we decide

We examine the tooth and take an X-ray, then go through it with you on screen. We are checking root shape, surrounding bone, and how close the tooth sits to nerves or the sinus. That is also what tells us whether the extraction will be simple or surgical. Every question gets answered before anything begins.

2

Numb, then check, then start

Local anaesthesia is placed gently and given time to work fully. We test the area first, and we do not begin until you confirm you feel nothing sharp. If you want us to pause at any point during the procedure, you tell us and we stop.

3

The extraction

Most teeth take 5 to 15 minutes once the area is numb. You feel pressure and movement. A surgical extraction, where the tooth is broken below the gum or sitting under bone, takes longer and involves removing the tooth in sections. That approach is gentler on the surrounding bone, which is what protects your options later.

4

Before you leave

We control the bleeding, place gauze, and take you through aftercare in plain language with written instructions to take home. Your follow-up is booked before you leave, and you know what is normal and what is not.

Wisdom Tooth Removal

Wisdom teeth are the last to arrive and often the least welcome. They come through at an angle, or only partly emerge and trap bacteria under a flap of gum, or press against the tooth in front. Any of those can mean pain, swelling, or infection that keeps coming back.
The question here is different from the one we ask about a damaged tooth. With a broken or decayed tooth, we are asking whether it can be saved. With a wisdom tooth, we are asking whether it is causing a problem, or clearly heading towards one.
Not every wisdom tooth needs removing. One that has erupted fully, sits properly in your bite, and can be reached with a toothbrush is usually best left where it is. Removing a healthy wisdom tooth simply because it is a wisdom tooth is not a reason.
When one does need to come out, how involved it is depends almost entirely on position. A fully erupted wisdom tooth is straightforward. One lying sideways in the bone needs sectioning and careful work around the nerve, which is why we confirm the plan and the cost only after seeing the X-ray. Recovery usually runs 5 to 10 days, longer than a routine extraction.

What Happens After a Tooth Extraction?

Most patients recover comfortably by following a few simple aftercare instructions. Mild soreness and swelling during the first few days are normal, and we’ll explain what to expect before you leave. You’ll receive written post-operative instructions, a follow-up appointment, and guidance on when you can return to your normal routine.

Cost of Tooth Extraction in Hyderabad

Tooth extraction at our clinic starts from ₹1000.What it actually costs depends on how the tooth is sitting. A loose or fully accessible tooth is simple. A tooth broken below the gum line needs a surgical approach and takes longer. An impacted wisdom tooth requires sectioning and careful work around the bone. We cannot tell you which applies until we have seen the X-ray.
After the examination you receive a written, itemised quote covering the extraction, the imaging, and anything the site needs afterwards. If replacement is likely to be part of the picture, it goes in the same document, so you are looking at the whole cost rather than just the first step.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction Cost in Hyderabad

A wisdom tooth that has erupted fully and sits accessibly comes out much like any other tooth. One that is impacted, lying sideways or still under bone, needs sectioning and careful work around the nerve. That is a longer appointment and a more complex procedure, and the difference in cost between the two is significant.
Position is what decides it, and position is only visible on the X-ray. We confirm the figure after we have seen it, in writing, before anything is scheduled.

FAQs

The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. You feel pressure and movement, not pain, and we test the area before we begin. Mild soreness and swelling for a day or two afterwards is normal and manageable with simple pain relief.

Tooth extraction at our clinic starts from ₹1000. The final cost depends on how the tooth is positioned, whether a surgical approach is needed, and what the site requires afterwards. We confirm it in a written, itemised quote after the examination and X-ray.

Wisdom tooth removal is priced separately from an ordinary extraction, because the range is wider. A fully erupted wisdom tooth is straightforward. An impacted one, lying sideways or under bone, is a longer and more complex procedure. Position determines the cost, and position is only visible on the X-ray. We confirm the figure in writing after the examination.

Often, yes. Teeth recommended elsewhere for extraction can frequently be kept with root canal treatment and a crown. We assess this before anything else and tell you honestly which applies to your tooth.

Simple extractions take 5 to 15 minutes of actual work, with 20 to 45 minutes of chair time including anaesthesia and aftercare. Surgical and wisdom tooth extractions take longer, usually 60 to 90 minutes in total.

Most people are comfortable within 3 to 7 days after a simple extraction, and 5 to 10 days after a surgical or wisdom tooth extraction. You leave with written aftercare instructions and a booked follow-up.

Soft, cool food on the first day, chewing on the opposite side. Avoid very hot, hard, or spicy food until the area has settled. Do not use a straw for the first 24 hours, and do not rinse or spit forcefully.

Dry socket happens when the blood clot protecting the healing socket is dislodged before the site has closed over. It causes a deep ache two to four days afterwards, often reaching towards the ear. It is uncommon and largely avoidable: do not rinse forcefully, do not use a straw, and do not smoke for the first few days. If it does happen, contact us. It is treatable and settles quickly once dressed.

Yes, including impacted ones. How straightforward it is depends entirely on the position of the tooth, which we confirm from the X-ray before quoting or scheduling.

Usually, for molars and premolars. Leaving the gap allows the neighbouring teeth to drift and the opposing tooth to drop into the space, which changes your bite over the years. Wisdom teeth at the very back need no replacement. We discuss the right plan for your case, often before the extraction rather than after.

After a simple extraction, most people do. After a surgical or wisdom tooth extraction, plan to take the rest of the day, and avoid heavy exercise for 48 hours. We will tell you what to expect for your case beforehand.
